Launched in 2024, J-Card is my new independent publishing company. We have one focus: to produce short biographies of the best alternative, indie rock, hip-hop, and riot grrrl groups of the past twenty to thirty years.

Each biography covers the entire arc of a group's career: how they formed, why they're important, and how they fit into both their regional scene and a larger historical context. 

The first three J-Card books, about Brainiac, De La Soul, and AFI, are currently on sale. 

Every band has a story. J-Card tells a few each year.
